Tsareena V Deck [Fusion Strike]

Overview

Tsareena V is not a tough Pokemon since it has 200 HP and Fire Weakness. Even without considering its weakness, some Basic Pokemon V like Zacian V can easily OHKO it. It needs 2 Energy for retreat so you can't easily retreat it without the help of Item or Pokemon Tool.

Tsareena V only attack, Queen's Order is a very fast and strong attack. This attack is fast because you only need 1 Grass Energy and 1 Colorless Energy to use it. Also, this attack has 20 base damage and does extra 40 damage for each Benchhed Pokemon you discarded. Since you can put up to 5 Benched Pokemon, the maximum damage from this attack is 220. This damage can OHKO most of the Basic V Pokemon. Furthrermore, the condition to fulfil 220 damage is not difficult at all as all you have to do is simply put 5 Pokemon on your bench from your hand.

But, as the game goes only, you will definitely need additional Tsarenna V on your bench in case your Active Tsarenna V got knocked out. So, the Queen's Order damage will become 180 for most of the time. Although the total damage is reduced, it is still strong enough to 2HKO your opponent's VMAX Pokemon

Tsareena V is definitely good against Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX which focus on eliminating multiple low HP Pokemon on your bench. Because of Queen Order attack, your opponent's Rapid Strike Urshifu V has no choice but can only attack Tsareena V and the damage from Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX is not strong enough to OHKO Tsareena V.

Recycling Pokemon

Rescue Carrier will be used to recycle Pokemon from your discard pile in this deck. So, you will mainly discard Pokemon with 90 HP or less when using Queen's Order attack. Since Rescue Carrier is an Item Card, you can play multiple Rescue Carrier during your turn to increase max damage for Queen's Order.

Both Galarian Zigzaggon and Chatot can be recycled with Rescue Carrier. In addition, these Pokemon Abilities can improve overall strategy of this deck. Galarian Zigzaggon Ability Headbutt Tantrum let you put 1 damage counter on 1 of your opponent's Pokemon. You can use this Ability to make your opponent's Pokemon HP low enough to be OHKO by Tsareena V Attack or knock out some of your opponent's Benched Pokemon with low HP.

On the other hand, Chatot Ability Lucky Match let you put a Supporter Card from your discard pile into your hand when you play it onto your bench. But, you can only use this effect if you get head from flipping a coin. This effect can become a game changer if you successfully get head. For example, you can put Boss's Order from your discard pile and switch 1 of your opponent's Pokemon that can be KO with Tsareena V attack.

Although Crobat V can't be recycled with Rescue Carrier, its Ability Dark Asset let you draw multiple cards to accelerate your set up. In addition, it can also be discarded with Tsarena V attack so you don't need to worry about your opponent knocking it out and take 2 Prize Cards.

Increase HP

With Cape of Toughness, Tsareena V HP will become 250. This will reduce your opponent chance of getting OHKO your Tsarena V.

Energy Setup

You don't really need to accelerate Energy for Tsareena V in the early game because of it low Energy cost attack. In the late game, you can use Raihan to attach 1 Basic Grass Energy from your discard  pile to your Tsareena V after 1 of your Pokemon is knocked out during your last time. Raihan also allows you to search 1 card from your deck in addition to Energy acceleration. So, important card like Rescue Carrier can also be searched using Raihan.
